Description
Dahua P5AS-PV is an outdoor, Wi-Fi 6 pan/tilt security camera built for people who want active intrusion deterrence rather than just passive recording. Made by Dahua, this camera is part of the Active Defense series and is well suited for homes, yards, entrances, gardens, and small businesses that need a single camera to cover an entire area from one installation point.
At the core of DH-P5AS-PV is its 5MP resolution, capturing 2880 x 1620 pixel video through a 1/2.7″ CMOS sensor for genuinely sharp, detailed images. This ensures faces, vehicles, and activity stay clear and easy to identify around the monitored area.
What makes Dahua P5AS-PV especially capable is its Smart Dual Light system. When an event is detected, the camera intelligently activates its warm light and red-and-blue warning light to capture clear, full-color video while actively deterring intruders, minimizing light pollution compared to always-on floodlights.
Smart detection is built directly into the system. DH-P5AS-PV uses AI human and vehicle detection to focus on relevant events and reduce false alarms, with auto tracking and preset patrol keeping the camera actively following activity across a wide area without blind spots.
Connectivity is another strong point. Dahua P5AS-PV supports Wi-Fi 6 for high-speed, strong anti-interference performance, along with fast Bluetooth pairing for quick and easy setup through the DMSS mobile app.
Active response is where this camera truly stands apart from ordinary security cameras. As part of Dahua’s Active Defense series, DH-P5AS-PV triggers sound and light alarms the moment an intrusion is detected and instantly relays vital information to the mobile client, keeping users informed and able to respond in real time.
Communication stays simple too. Dahua P5AS-PV includes a built-in microphone and speaker for two-way talk, letting users speak with visitors, warn off intruders, or give instructions remotely, along with abnormal sound alarm detection for added awareness.
Durability is equally important outdoors. With an IP66 weatherproof rating, DH-P5AS-PV performs reliably through rain, dust, and harsh conditions. Storage stays flexible too, supporting local microSD recording up to 256GB for simple, subscription-free installations.
Whether covering a backyard or a business entrance, DH-P5AS-PV delivers sharp 5MP clarity, active Smart Dual Light deterrence, and dependable AI detection in one outdoor Wi-Fi 6 camera.
