The Dahua NVR4232-EI is a pro-class 32-channel network video recorder built on Dahua’s WizSense technology, suited for installs that have outgrown a single 16-channel unit but don’t yet justify dedicated rack-cabinet hardware — multi-floor offices, retail flagships, factory cells, and light-industrial yards.
Supporting Smart H.265+, H.265, Smart H.264+, and H.264 decoding formats, the Dahua NVR4232-EI delivers a maximum decoding capability of 16 × 1080p at 30 fps or 4 × 8MP at 30 fps, along with up to 256 Mbps of incoming, recording, and outgoing bandwidth, supporting IP cameras with resolutions up to 16 MP.
WizSense AI capabilities on the Dahua NVR4232-EI include 1-channel face detection and recognition, supporting up to 10 face databases and 20,000 face images, along with 2-channel perimeter protection featuring 10 IVS rules per channel, and 4-channel SMD Plus to reduce false alarms caused by irrelevant motion.
When paired with compatible AI cameras, additional functionality extends to face detection and recognition, perimeter protection across all channels (up to 8 targets/s), SMD Plus, ANPR, people counting, stereo analysis, and heat mapping, giving businesses richer analytics even beyond the recorder’s own onboard processing.
Storage capacity sits comfortably in the range needed for month-long retention at typical channel resolutions, with two SATA ports supporting up to 16 TB of storage, and room to archive footage onto cold storage as it ages out of active retention.
Video output flexibility rounds out the design, with 1 HDMI port supporting up to 4K (3840×2160) resolution and 1 VGA port for simultaneous local display, giving installers options depending on the monitors already in place at a given site.
