The Ruijie RG-AirMetro550G-B is a high-performance point-to-multipoint (PTMP) wireless bridge base station built for large-scale outdoor deployments such as WISP networks, CCTV backhaul, town and city road connectivity, and factory environments. It serves as the central hub for the RG-AirMetro Series, connecting multiple remote sites from a single unit.

Utilizing the IEEE 802.11ac standard, the Ruijie RG-AirMetro550G-B operates in the 5 GHz band with 2×2 MIMO technology, delivering a maximum wireless rate of up to 867 Mbps for bridging—more than sufficient bandwidth for demanding point-to-point (PTP) and point-to-multipoint (PTMP) services.

Range is a standout feature of this base station. With support for up to 10 km of wireless transmission distance when paired with a compatible antenna, the RG-AirMetro550G-B is designed to be mounted onto 90°, 120°, or 360° antennas depending on the deployment scenario, giving network planners flexibility across different coverage requirements.

Built for the outdoors, the RG-AirMetro550G-B carries an IP55 weatherproof rating along with 6 kV surge protection and ±24 kV ESD protection, ensuring dependable operation in harsh environmental conditions typical of exterior installations.

Power flexibility is included as well, with support for 24V Passive PoE and 12V DC input, and compatibility with solar power supply setups, making it suitable for remote sites without access to standard power infrastructure.
