Description
For outdoor and industrial sites that need wireless signal to travel far in one focused direction, the TP-Link EAP650 D30-Outdoor is designed to deliver exactly that. Built as part of TP-Link’s directional Omada access point lineup, it trades wide-angle coverage for long, narrow-beam range.
The defining feature of the TP-Link EAP650 D30-Outdoor is its 30-degree high-gain directional antenna array. Compared to wider-beam siblings, this narrower angle concentrates signal strength into a tighter path, making it ideal for long aisles, perimeter fencing, narrow outdoor corridors, loading lanes, and elongated warehouse zones where distance matters more than spread.
Performance stays firmly in Wi-Fi 6 territory. The TP-Link EAP650 D30-Outdoor delivers up to 2402 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, giving it enough combined throughput to support scanners, tablets, AGVs, and IoT devices operating simultaneously along a focused coverage path.
Ruggedness is central to its design. The TP-Link EAP650 D30-Outdoor uses a fully sealed IP68 enclosure, protecting it from dust ingress and water submersion, while its -30°C to +70°C operating range lets it function reliably in unheated storage facilities, exposed outdoor installations, or extreme seasonal climates.
Mobility features round out the package. With 802.11k/v/r seamless roaming, handheld scanners and automated guided vehicles can move along a facility without losing connection, switching automatically between access points as signal strength shifts — a must-have for logistics and fulfillment operations.
Installation is kept practical through 802.3at PoE support, allowing data and power to run over a single cable even at remote or outdoor mounting points. Combined with Omada Mesh technology, multiple units can be deployed along a perimeter or corridor to extend directional coverage in a continuous chain rather than relying on a single access point.
Management is centralized through TP-Link’s Omada SDN platform, giving administrators control over access points, switches, and gateways from one interface — accessible via the Omada app or web UI, whether managed locally or from the cloud.
In short, the TP-Link EAP650 D30-Outdoor is purpose-built for scenarios where standard omnidirectional coverage falls short — long warehouse rows, fence lines, narrow yards, and stretched outdoor paths — pairing focused-range performance with industrial-grade durability and centralized manageability.
