The TP-Link TL-SG1210MP is an unmanaged switch with nine Gigabit RJ45 ports and one Gigabit combo SFP/RJ45 port that requires no configuration, making it a straightforward plug-and-play solution for small offices, homes, and businesses that need reliable PoE-powered connectivity.
With eight PoE ports, the TP-Link TL-SG1210MP can automatically detect and supply power with all IEEE 802.3af/at compliant Powered Devices, transmitting electrical power along with data in one single cable. This allows businesses to expand their network to areas without power lines or outlets, ideal for fixing devices such as access points, IP cameras, or IP phones.
Compliance with the 802.3af/at PoE+ standard supports up to 30W on each PoE port, with a total 123W PoE power budget for the 8 PoE+ ports opening up a wide range of applications, such as surveillance for offices, dormitories, and small businesses. The switch is fully compatible with IP cameras, access points, IP phones, computers, and printers.
Priority Mode ensures high priority of ports 1-2 to guarantee the quality of sensitive applications, while Isolation Mode allows one-click client traffic separation for higher security and performance, giving administrators simple tools to manage traffic without needing a full management interface.
PoE Auto Recovery automatically reboots dropped or unresponsive PoE-powered devices, keeping cameras and access points online without requiring a manual power cycle on-site. With Extend Mode enabled, PoE transmission distance can reach up to 820 feet, though the speed of the affected ports will drop to 10 Mbps to maintain reliable power delivery over longer cable runs.
Intelligent power management protects the network from overload, as when total power consumption exceeds 123W, the switch will cut power to lower priority ports. This ensures the high-priority port’s power supply and protects the device from power overload, while also protecting PoE and non-PoE equipment from damage.
