Description
The TP-Link EAP245 is an AC1750 dual-band access point built to deliver high-capacity Wi-Fi for offices, retail spaces, schools, and other business environments. Its ceiling or wall-mounted design keeps the device discreet while providing wide, consistent coverage.
Delivering combined speeds of up to 1750 Mbps, with 450 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and 1300 Mbps on the 5 GHz band, the TP-Link EAP245 comfortably handles bandwidth-heavy tasks like video conferencing, streaming, and large file transfers across many connected devices at once.
Built on 802.11ac Wave 2 technology with MU-MIMO support, the TP-Link EAP245 can communicate with multiple client devices simultaneously rather than one at a time. This keeps performance stable even in crowded environments where dozens of users are connected to the same network.
Management is centralized through TP-Link’s Omada Software Defined Networking platform. Administrators can configure, monitor, and troubleshoot the TP-Link EAP245 remotely using the Omada Controller software, cloud access, or the Omada mobile app, allowing an entire fleet of access points to be managed from a single dashboard.
Installation is straightforward, as the device supports both 802.3af/at PoE and Passive PoE, so it can be powered through a compatible switch or the included adapter. A second Gigabit Ethernet port also allows for easy bridging to nearby network devices.
Security is built in at every level. The TP-Link EAP245 supports WPA/WPA2-Enterprise encryption, 802.1X authentication with RADIUS, and rogue access point detection to keep business networks protected. Its captive portal supports SMS, voucher, and Facebook Wi-Fi authentication, making guest access simple to manage.
To maintain strong performance under heavy load, the device includes Band Steering, Airtime Fairness, and Beamforming technologies. These work together to push compatible devices onto the faster 5 GHz band, distribute bandwidth fairly, and strengthen signal directionality toward connected clients.
Seamless roaming ensures uninterrupted calls, video streams, and downloads as users move between multiple access points, a valuable feature for larger facilities with several APs deployed.
With Multi-SSID support, scheduled reboots, and reliable firmware updates, the TP-Link EAP245 is a strong choice for businesses that need dependable, scalable Wi-Fi coverage without added complexity.
